Keeping Things Dry

We've had such lovely weather lately and I've been imagining our forthcoming cycling trip happening in brilliant sunshine.  But it may not be like that at all.  Can still remember a downpour once in Greece, when despite waterproofs etc. my wallet got so saturated that I had to spread all my money out to dry when I got back.

I've just found a site called Aquapac which sells waterproof everything. I don't know what the quality is like but from the site it certainly looks like the business.  Will be taking my trusty old cyling cape but think I'll invest in one of the pouches for the phone.

  1. You have me envying you. Alas, my cycling days are over. Never did take to the cape, though. There always seemed to be a head wind when I wore it. Best wishes for the trip.

  3. Hope you keep dry. Nothing worse than cycling in the rain. Not that I cycle any more.

  5. I've sworn by Ortlieb for years, for proper waterproof roll-top bags, but just recently we found some incredible ones in Aldi for 7.99 (a LOT cheaper). We used them in Greenland and didn't have a single leak. They come in around once a year, so it may be worth keeping an eye out in future, even though you might not be able to get your hands on one in time for this trip.
