I'm on the road - literally, most of the time, since I'm cycling in Kent. This has been scheduled for weeks. I'm keeping a detailed diary and taking lots of photographs, because it's difficult to get onto the internet when you're in the depths of the country with a maximum speed of 10 mph. Well, it depends on the terrain - right now, I'm in Romney Marsh which is extremely flat, and luckily the wind is with us
Wow, blogging and cycling at the same time - I'm impressed! I once knew a man who could roll a cigarette with one hand whilst cycling. But then he was Dutch.

ReplyDeleteBy the way, the word verification on that post was "lecul" which is a bit of a rude word in French.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great trip - how long are you planning on cycling for? I did 1000-odd miles cycling/camping round Iceland but I haven't really cycled in earnest in the UK, I think the Hadrian's Wall cycle path would be my first choice for a long-ish ride (but I have to fix my gears!).
ReplyDeleteI have cycled to Scotland from London but this is just a meandering trip across Kent, a county that I have hardly visited. Just wanted to see what it was like, since it's just round the corner, so to speak. Surprising how varied it is - bleak weirdness of Dungeness one day and leafy gardens in the Weald the next.
ReplyDeleteI love the variety in such a small space.
