A Bit Behind.

I'm getting a bit behind.  I have just fniished writing the German story from my trip just before last Christmas.   After that, I'll have to start writing up Egypt.  I'm also headed for Southern Spain and hope I can get Egypt written up before I go. Plus, I have another trip to make in the UK before Spain.

Thinking back to Germany, I spotted the three characters above in earnest discussion in Regensburg. I didn't ask what they were discussing. I preferred to imagine their conversation ... but I do wonder what it was!

  1. That discussion probably had something to do with salaries and labor laws!

  2. You could turn that one into a competition, Jenny!

  3. Wish I hadn't had that cup of coffee ...

  4. I am looking forward to your report on Germany. Lucky you, why can't it be me who goes to Germany!

I have never seen anything like these three characters when I was still in Germany. Perhaps they are fairy tale figures about to perform somewhere and are simply discussing strategy?

  5. Oh, I thought all Germans dressed like that :)

  6. Thanks for that comment, Jenny. You made me laugh out loud as I was drinking my morning cuppa!

  7. Now that is one very interesting threesome.

  8. They were probably discussing where to meet after work for a beer. That's putting words into their heads, but it seems likely, doesn't it?

  9. I think the lemon tart was asking for directions and to not know this bear called headless bear, and there struck up a conversation .... a greeting.

  10. I think lemon is asking the other two if they’ve run into apple and orange. :)

  11. I love Regensburg. Did you stay at one of the "Orphees"? A lemon, a bear and the Leaning Tower of Pisa...hm. Oh my goodness. The lemon has her phone out.

  18. Thanks for coming back to my blog. Last time I saw your blog you had some great Mozart chocolates on your post, maybe last October.
It was so nice looking at your pictures of Cairo. I have been to Cairo three times but each time to visit my first cousins who are Armenian-Egyptians, so even though they showed me around I took few pictures with my film camera. I’ll try to write a post on Cairo but like you I am behind writing travel posts. The first time I went to Cairo the police took my film because I had photographed a bridge – at the time I had a 35 mm camera.
I’ll read your Germany reports – I have only been to Baden-Baden and Stuttgart there.

  19. Yes, here in Germany, we all dress like this. Today, for instance, I am wearing my coffee mug ;-)
Happy writing, and I am sure you'll wrap it all up before your next trip.

  20. As lemon is checking her schedule on her phone, they are probably saying - When shall we three meet again...? hahaha, so funny. Yes, all Germans dress like that. I am usually an oak tree.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I`m glad I found you this way.

  21. Lovely spot Jenny! Difficult to know what they were saying, foreigners talk in foreign!

  22. Lemon: "Look, we've spent two hours trying to find this frigging fancy dress party, and we're none the wiser. Why don't we just call it a day and go down the pub?"

  23. Great picture - just crying out for a speech bubble. And where in the UK are you heading for. Up north, I hope.

  24. Bear meets pisa meets banana --lots of possibilities....!

  25. That is hilarious! Who said Germans don't have a sense of humour?

  30. It could be a great subject for a writing class! A lemon, an italian tower and a bear(?)(dog?) talk together: imagine what they're talking about?..

  31. That must be quite a conversation!

I like your header...because now I know what crocuses actually look like when they begin to show up. I've read about it in novels many times...we don't seen to have them here for some reason. It's an amazing sight, and I can imagine it in snow too.

  32. Looking forward to reading about your time in Egypt. My brother was sent there when he was in the military. All he really said about it was that it was dirty.

  39. Maybe they are talking about what to do, where to drink, after a day’s work. You’re having busy days ahead, Jenny. Look forward to your writing more about Egypt.
