Spooky Giant Woman

Another strange sight in World Travel Market. Looks weirdly sinister to me, does it suggest a ghost story to you or do I just have a spooky mind?

  1. Is that a real person or a statue?

    Whatever it is, it's interesting.

  2. The super harlot. Every man dreads their emergence when they get ready to make a speech...guess I am watching too much Cain news.

  4. An attenuated Russian by the looks of it

  5. It is spooky. Good thing that you didn't encounter here in a dimly lit corridor. xD

  6. It's a bit blurry and I wondered if it was moving, too. That is what makes it a little creepy to me...the idea something that tall could be moving. ;)

  8. Hello Jenny:
Is she meant to ATTRACT visitors?

  9. Someone on stilts, I assume, or indeed a statue or puppet on strings? I wouldn't want to be left alone with it. All sorts of terrible things could happen.

  10. To tell the truth it suggests something a little darker than your average ghost story!

  11. Print it in canvas and it would make a suitable entry in a surrealist exhibition.

  12. Hello, fountain of knowledge! I just wanted to confirm that yes, this giant woman is spooky (where are you exactly?), and both comments are published on my blog!

  13. What is it? And which country exhibits it?

I am looking forward to your post on the German cities; can I come?
I haven't eaten a Weckmann in years. They are not really for Christmas but St. Nikolaus.

Thank you for your comment on writing blogs and a memoir at the same time. Help, my blogging button has got stuck! Will it come unstuck again?

  14. There seem to be more and more people walking around on stilts these days. There were some in Durham when I was there earlier this year. It seemed a very dangerous occupation given that they were walking through the street on market day.

  15. Yes, she is on stilts, and she comes from the Crimea!
